Lectures and seminars 2026 CDMRP Funding Opportunities Seminar
Grants Office will host a webinar on upcoming US funding from the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP).
Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP) Announces $1.27 Billion, 34 Research Programs for Fiscal Year 2026. Dollars for the CDMRP are not considered part of the DoD's core mission, and are therefore not included in the DoD's requested budget. Rather, the dollars to fund CDMRP are added every year during the budget approval cycle by members of the House or Senate, in response to requests by consumer advocates and disease survivors, hence the “congressionally directed” part of the program name.
The fiscal year 2026 appropriated research programs include:
Alcohol and Substance Use Disorders, Alzheimer’s, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Arthritis, Autism, Bone Marrow Failure Disease, Breast Cancer, Combat Readiness Medical, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Epilepsy, Hearing Restoration, Joint Warfighter Medical, Kidney Cancer, Lung Cancer, Lupus, Melanoma, Military Burn, Multiple Sclerosis, Neurofibromatosis, Orthopaedic, Ovarian Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Parkinson’s, Peer Reviewed Cancer (20 topics), Peer Reviewed Medical (52 topics), Prostate Cancer, Rare Cancers, Reconstructive Transplant, Spinal Cord Injury, Tick-Borne Disease, Toxic Exposures, Traumatic Brain Injury and Psychological Health, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, and Vision.
