Biodiversity on campus – here are the plans for grass cutting at Solna Campus

In several locations across the Solna campus, Akademiska Hus is actively working to enhance biodiversity and create more sustainable outdoor environments. One way of doing this is to allow certain grassed areas to grow more naturally rather than being mowed regularly.

The taller grassed areas help to create better habitats for pollinators and other important species, whilst enhancing the ecological value of the campus. In areas where there are many people and where activities take place continuously, such as the grassed areas at BZ (outside the library), the grass will be mowed regularly to ensure accessible and functional spaces for leisure and recreation.
