Welcome Erica Sundell!

Get to know Erica Sundell, new PhD student at the Division of Nursing.
What will you be working on?
"I am a new doctoral student in the research group Health Promotion among Children and Young People at the Division of Nursing."
What do you most look forward to?
"I look forward to growing into the role of a researcher, deepening my knowledge of research methods in intervention and implementation research, and at the same time, together with knowledgeable and engaged colleagues, having the opportunity to contribute to research that can make a difference for children’s and young people’s health."
What is your background?
"I am a registered nurse and have completed a Master’s degree in Public Health at Uppsala University. After that, I worked as a research assistant in several projects at the Centre for Research Ethics and Bioethics, as well as a lecturer in the nursing study program at Uppsala University."
What do you do in your free time?
"I enjoy spending time with family and friends. I spend a lot of time at our summer house in the Roslagen archipelago and take every opportunity I get to go hiking in the mountains."
Would you like to recommend a book, film or similar?
"Right now I’m reading The Expedition: My Love Story (Vitön) by Bea Uusma."
What is the most beautiful place you have been to?
"Abisko National Park and Haväng in Österlen are two of the most beautiful places I’ve been to!"
What makes you really happy?
"Someone who always makes me happy is my Welsh Springer Spaniel, Iggy"
