New PhD student at the Division of Nursing.

What will you be working on?

”I’m a new PhD student in the research group PeriBrainCare, at the Department of Nursing. My research will focus on cognitive recovery in older adults after cardiac surgery."

What do you most look forward to in your new position?

"What I’m most looking forward to is growing into my new role as a PhD student and starting to write my dissertation. "

What is your background?

"Previously, I’ve worked in emergency care and various cardiology units, including the surgical department with PCI. This makes PeriBrainCare feel like a perfect match for me, where I can combine my clinical experience with research."

What do you like to do when not working?

"In my free time, I enjoy listening to audiobooks or training for different races."

What is the most beautiful place you have been to?

"The most beautiful place I’ve visited is the island of Brač in Croatia."

What makes you really happy?

"The best feeling I know is making a difference for another person. Like when a patient regains color in their face and starts feeling better after an emergency balloon angioplasty – now I get to continue making a difference, but on a slightly different level."
