We at Dentmed are expanding our international collaborations
Department of Dental Medicine visit to Shandong University, Cheeloo College of Medicine and SDU School of Stomatology, Jinan China.
On the 17th and 18th November, a delegation of KI researchers participated in the 8th SDU-KI Joint Symposium. A ceremony was held for the signing of a renewed SDU-KI Translational Medicine Collaborative Research Agreement (2025-2030) by KI Vice President Professor Martin Bergo and SDU Vice President Professor Fan Yi.
Dental Medicine was represented by Bodil Lund, Nagihan Bostanci and Rachael Sugars.
At the Symposium, Bodil Lund gave a talk entitled “Biomarkers and surgical predictors of temporomandibular joint disease” and gave a fitting tribute to Professor Anders Homlund “the father of TMJ surgery”. Nagihan Bostanci discussed “Does inflammation matter in periodontitis?”.
The delegation also visited the SDU School of Stomatology for an afternoon of research presentations and discussions between KI and SDU to explore potential collaborative opportunities.
