Ten years of safety assessment of graphene

The Graphene Flagship project, the largest ever research programme in the EU, has recently come to an end. Professor Bengt Fadeel and his research group at IMM have been partners of the consortium from 2013 until 2023, with the aim of addressing the possible adverse effects of graphene and other two-dimensional (2D) materials on human health. 

Professor Fadeel and colleagues have now summarized some of the lessons learned during the course of the Graphene Flagship project, and the report is available through the European Union Observatory for Nanomaterials (EUON), a webpage that is hosted by the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA).
