Statistical expertise elevated Amanda's study
When the analysis plan for an advanced research project needed to be written, Amanda Högdén, a doctoral student at the Department of Clinical Research and Education at Karolinska Institutet at Södersjukhuset, turned to Clinicum. The support she received became an important success factor, both for the choice of methods and for carrying out the project.
Amanda Högdén worked on a project using a so-called case–cohort design, which involves extensive statistical considerations.
-We needed help from the stage when the analysis plan was being written, including which analyses to run, how the cohort should be defined, which confounding factors we needed to take into account, and which sensitivity analyses we should carry out, says Amanda.
