Start of the autumn semester 2025

Many students were present on the first day of the semester, September 1.
Study Programme in Occupational Therapy
To kick off the day, 55 new occupational therapy students were welcomed with coffee and pastries by the student association Artemis. The students then had a packed schedule, beginning with information from the programme director and the educational coordinator. Head of Department, Maria Ankarcrona, also gave a welcome speech. The students had the opportunity to get to know each other in groups, and the day concluded with an introduction to the library.
Study Programme in Physiotherapy
The Study Programme in Physiotherapy welcomed a class of just over 90 new students for the autumn semester 2025. After the initial introductory days during the first week, the Student Association/physio (MF) invited the newcomers to a couple of days of “kollo” – a long-standing tradition in the programme where new students get the chance to bond and receive invaluable tips from senior students. After the camp and a short introductory course, the studies continue in term 1 with courses in anatomy, physiology, and basic physiotherapy.
Study Programme in Nursing
The Study Programme in Nursing welcomed over 180 eager students for registration and introduction in lecture hall H1 Red at ANA23. Programme director Kristina Gottberg introduced the programme, its courses, content, and structure. Head of department Maria Ankarcrona, study counsellor Christine Carlstedt, and representatives from the Student Association/SSEK (MF) – both chair and vice-chair – participated in welcoming all new nursing students, both distance and campus-based.
Study Programmes in Specialist Nursing
As tradition dictates, the Study Programmes in Specialist Nursing began with a joint web-based morning session. The day started with a welcome from Head of Department, Maria Ankarcrona, followed by lectures on patient safety, ethics, and domestic violence. In addition to these lectures, students received information from the programme director and deputy programme director, as well as from the nursing section of the Student Association (MF). Around 240 students participated in the webinar. The programmes that started included Anaesthetic Nursing, Pre-hospital Emergency Care, Paediatric Care, Primary Health Care, Intensive Care, Medical Care, Surgical Care, and Theatre Care.
