Update of ki.se on October 23

On Thursday, October 23rd, starting after 7:00 PM, an update will be carried out on ki.se, including medarbetare.ki.se, nyheter.ki.se, and utbildning.ki.se. During the update, some downtime may occur, and it will not be possible to log in or work in the web publishing system.

Link to Unpublished Pages

You can now link to unpublished pages via Linkit, in the body text, and when linking different language versions of pages. This means you can complete your entire page without needing to publish/unpublish other pages.

Unpublished pages are marked with the pink “unpublished color” and are also labeled as such in the text.

News and Calendar

  • Previously, updating a single paragraph in a news article would change the entire article’s publication date. This has been adjusted.
  • When adding a content reviewer to a calendar event, the editor is now hidden—just like on regular pages.
  • We've simplified the handling of News promos—the promo used to display individual news articles on a page.
  • The first three characters in the IDAC tree were not visible when selecting a group for a news item or calendar event. This has been fixed.
  • The “Location” field in calendar events was not visible to logged-out users. It is now visible to everyone.

Profile Page

  • There have been some issues with group affiliations not displaying correctly - or not at all - on profile pages. We are making further adjustments to address this. If you notice anything wrong, please contact webb@ki.se so we can investigate.
  • Travel grants are now displayed under a separate heading on the “Research funding” tab. Previously, they were shown together with project grants.
  • In some cases, supervision were not visible on profile pages. This has been corrected.
  • We are also preparing to display a summary of your work on the profile page, as well as videos from platforms like KI Play. These features will be included in a future update.

Other Updates

  • Even when “Show organizational affiliation” was selected in a contact card, it was not visible externally.
  • Files attached to forms were not accessible.
  • Permissions issue: Course web editors and programme web editors were unable to add images.
