New meeting structure at FyFa from March 2026
In March 2026, FyFa will introduce a new meeting structure that will gather information in fewer and clearer forums. At the same time, both inclusion and dialogue at the department will be strengthened. The new FyFa Information Breakfast and a new PI meeting will mean greater openness, better transparency and a more efficient meeting culture for both employees and managers.
For managers, the changes mean fewer and shorter meetings, while all FyFa employees will have more opportunities to receive important information and to meet, mingle and network.
FyFa Information Breakfast – a joint forum for the entire department
One of the biggest changes is the FyFa Information Breakfast, a new recurring meeting where all employees can hear the department's most important news. Every six weeks, everyone at FyFa gathers in the Faculty Club in Biomedicum at 8:30 a.m. for a breakfast buffet and information. The joint session is followed by a 45-minute Teacher's meeting, which was originally Teacher breakfast. This new format increases both transparency and participation, while reducing the number of separate information meetings. The previous FyFa Faculty meetings are being phased out, and all central information is instead gathered in this new joint forum.
PI meetings
At the same time, managers will have a more focused and purposeful forum as the previous format for PI meetings is reintroduced. The meetings will be scheduled at lunchtime, and their duration may vary depending on the topics on the agenda. The aim is to provide managers with better support, a clearer structure, and greater opportunities to work strategically together.
Meeting invitations
Meeting invitations will be sent out via the calendar as usual. To ensure that we can order the correct number of breakfasts/lunches, you are expected to respond to the invitation. Everyone at FyFa is also expected to take part in important information on Teams; by giving a thumbs‑up, you indicate that you have read and understood the information.
