New AI‑based search features on KI’s website
Now we are launching two new AI‑based search functions designed to make it easier to find the right information on our websites: AI search across the entire website and AI dialogue on the Staff Portal.
Both functions are based on content from KI’s own websites, but they work in slightly different ways and are designed for different needs.
AI dialogue on the staff portal
The staff portal features AI dialogue, a new function that makes it possible to ask questions and receive answers in dialogue form. The Ask AI button is available on every page of the Staff Portal, but the service does not search only the content of the page you are on. It searches the whole of the Staff portal and KI’s profile pages. You can also ask follow-up questions to get more help, request clarification or narrow down your question. The function is intended to make it easier to find internal information, especially when you are not sure exactly what to search for or when the question is more complex.
The service is available in both Swedish and English. It also replies in the same language you use when asking your question, so you do not need to switch to the English version of the website to receive a reply in English – or vice versa.



AI search across the entire website
AI search is available in the standard search function on ki.se. You can choose whether or not an AI-generated answer should be displayed. The feature summarises information from several of KI’s websites and can make it quicker to get an overview or find the right page. The AI search indexes content from ki.se, education.ki.se, staff.ki.se and kib.ki.se.

AI-generated content may be incorrect
With the new features, we want to improve the possibilities for quickly finding relevant information. At the same time, it is important to remember that the answers are based on the content published on the websites. If something is missing or unclear in the source material, this may also affect the answer.
