Network on the Coordination and Harmonisation of European Occupational Cohorts (OMEGA-NET)

The Unit of Occupational Medicine at IMM hosted a meeting within the EU COST-action Network on the Coordination and Harmonisation of European Occupational Cohorts (OMEGA-NET) April 3 to April 5 with approximately 100 particpants from 30 countries.

A special session where young researchers presented their work was especially appreciated. Much time was spent on discussions on specific areas of occupational research and hamonisation of information on exposure and outcome in existing cohorts as well as standardizing such information in new cohorts. Several position papers are expected to emerge from this work.

The network supports short term scientific missions as an exchange between participating countries and will offer a course on exposure assessment in epidemiological studies in Denmark June this year.
