Migration of videos to Canvas Studio – first stage complete
The first stage of the migration from Kaltura (My Media/Media Gallery in Canvas) to Canvas Studio is now complete. Your videos have been copied to your personal Studio library, in a collection: “Migrated videos [username]”.
The next stage will be Search and replace, where existing Kaltura links and embeds in Canvas will be replaced with the corresponding Canvas Studio videos.
Please check your videos by 11 May
It is important that you check your migrated videos this week, especially that they are connected to the correct Canvas course collections. If the course connections are missing or incorrect, the Search and replace stage may fail.
Please check:
- that you recognise your videos
- that the number of videos is approximately correct
- that the videos can be played
- that captions are displayed correctly, if available
- that your videos are connected to the correct Canvas courses
