Labmed hosted a conference on Stem Cells, Organoids, and AI

On April 15-16, the Department of Laboratory Medicine (Labmed) hosted "The Advancements in Stem Cells, Organoids, AI, and Regenerative Medicine", a highly attended conference which brought together a multidisciplinary community of researchers, clinicians, and industry experts from across the world.
Over two days of intense and dynamic scientific exchange, participants shared groundbreaking research, discussed new methodologies, and fostered international collaborations. The conference highlighted the critical intersections between regenerative medicine, tissue engineering, artificial intelligence, and organoid technology—fields that are shaping the future of medicine.
Through keynote lectures, scientific sessions, and a vibrant poster presentation section, the event emphasized the importance of cross-disciplinary dialogue and innovation. The strong engagement from attendees reflected not only the relevance of these topics but also the need for ongoing collaboration to drive forward cutting-edge therapeutic solutions.
– The success of this conference clearly demonstrates the importance of hosting more scientific events of this caliber at Karolinska Institutet, says Jose Inzunza, Docent at the Division of Clinical Microbiology. Providing platforms for interdisciplinary discussion and knowledge sharing is essential for maintaining leadership in medical research and fostering breakthroughs that can improve patient care globally.
Jose adds:
– We look forward to making this conference an annual event and continuing to support the growing fields of regenerative medicine, AI applications in healthcare, and beyond.
