The Berzelius Medal in gold from the Swedish Chemical Society is 2024 awarded to Roman Zubarev, professor of medical proteomics at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics at the Karolinska Institutet.

Roman Zubarev uses mass spectrometry for studies of molecular biometrics in biology and medicine, covering everything from immunology and Alzheimer's disease to astrobiology.
Roman is a member of the Swedish Mass Spectrometry Society (SMSS), a section within the Swedish Chemical Society.
