KI management visit NVS
On April 23, it was time for the new KI university management to visit NVS. They are currently on a tour visiting all departments during the late autumn 2023 and spring 2024.
The weather was sunny as the KI leadership promptly entered room 402 in ANA 23. The visitors included President Annika Östman Wernerson, Vice President Martin Bergö, University Director Veronika Sundström as well as Matti Sällberg, dean KI South, Carl Sundström, from the Office for Research and Doctoral Education at Professional Services (GVS), and Victoria Olausson, communications officer. From NVS, most of the management team participated, along with representatives from the doctoral student council, department council, and students.
Head of Department Maria Ankarcrona began by sharing information and ongoing activities at NVS. Next, the KI leadership introduced themselves, discussed their work, and shared their thoughts and visions about KI. Afterwards, everyone took a well-deserved break with refreshments, providing an opportunity to mingle with the president, vice president, university director and dean.
Finally, a joint session with questions and discussion was held. Many questions were raised, particularly related to education finances, recruitment, career paths, and collaboration with Professional Services/GVS. The KI leadership listened attentively and promised to provide answers for any questions they couldn’t address immediately.
