Juleen Zierath is one of two researchers awarded the Nordic Medicine Prize for her extensive and important research on diabetes.
The Nordic Medicine Prize, previously known as the Salus Ansvar-Prize, has been awarded annually since 1998 and is one of the most prestigious medicine awards in the Nordic countries.
This year the prize sum of SEK 750 000 is shared between two laureates, Juleen Zierath, Professor at the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology at Karolinska Institutet and Patrik helmsman, researcher at the University of Gothenburg.
