Participants sought for studies Have you experienced hot weather conditions when pregnant or caring for a newborn in the last year?
We are studying how extreme heat affects the health of pregnant women, mothers and their babies in the Stockholm region.

This study is part of the EU-funded HIGH Horizons project. Our goal is to better understand the lived experiences of women and how extreme heat during and after pregnancy affects their well-being. The project will contribute to the development of a mobile app designed to better support mothers and babies during extreme heat.
How does it work?
The study involves two workshops: Workshop 1 – Share your experiences of heat during pregnancy or after birth through a drawing exercise, and we will discuss in a group. Workshop 2- Share your story with photos and visuals, and discuss what are important messages and your recommendations to help protect from extreme heat.
Refreshments (fika) will be provided during the workshops.
The total time for each workshop is approximately 2 hours, and both workshops will take place in central Stockholm.. The study will be conducted in Swedish or English.
Who can apply?
- Aged 18-49 years
- Currently pregnant or recent given birth (within one year)
- Not experiencing a complicated or high-risk pregnancy
Reimbursement for your participation
After completing both workshops, you will receive a gift voucher (400 SEK) for each workshop. We will also reimburse your transportation costs within Stockholm for public transportation
