Graduation ceremony for participants in KI:s Clinical Specialization in Orthodontics
On 22nd September 2023, KI celebrated the postgraduates from Saudi Arabia who have completed KI:s Course in Clinical Specialization in Orthodontics.
The course leadership - which includes Head of Section of Orthodontics Agneta Karsten, and Course Director Marie Pegelow, as well as the clinical instructor Fatima Jabbari - were present at the graduation ceremony. They gave the welcome address and delivered the diplomas to the six graduating participants.
Karolinska Institutet has offered the Master’s courses and clinical specialization in orthodontics every 3 years since 1993. In total there have been over 60 graduates from different countries over the years.
The Master’s courses and clinical specialization in orthodontics comprises of three and a half year’s full time study and a total of 120 credits. The aim of the Master’s courses and clinical specialization in orthodontics is to offer residents specialization with a broad and solid academic foundation. The education provides knowledge and skills needed for diagnosis and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with an orthodontic treatment need. The education also emphasizes health ethics, pedagogics, scientific writing and leadership.
