Continued strong results for KI in international subject ranking

With the publication of the QS World University Rankings by Subject for 2026, KI retains its position among the world’s and Europe’s leading universities. Among other things, KI retains its position as the EU’s leading medical university.
In this year’s QS World University Rankings by Subject, KI retains a top-ten position globally in the subject of ‘Medicine’. KI also retains the top position within the EU, ranking 1st in ‘Medicine’ (5th in Europe). Harvard University in the US retains the top spot globally.
KI regains the top spot globally in “Dentistry” (as in 2022) and also moves up in “Nursing” to 16th place globally, retaining 5th place in Europe and 2nd in the EU.
First time in the “Anatomy & Physiology” list
In “Pharmacy & Pharmacology”, KI drops one place to 15th globally, 6th in Europe, and retains first place in the EU. KI is included in the “Anatomy & Physiology” list for the first time, ranking 19th globally, 7th in Europe and 2nd in the EU.
The QS ranking is based primarily on data regarding scientific output and global reputation surveys among academics.
