Continued funding of the Biostatistics Core Facility

The Biostatistics Core Facility has been granted central funding from Karolinska Institutet and Stockholm County Council for the period 2019-2021.

The Core Facility for Biostatistics started in 2013 at the IMM Unit for Biostatistics and has the mission of providing biostatistic collaboration and support for research in medicine and public health. The business is very active and since its inception, it has had several hundred formal collaborations with researchers in KI and at other universities, nationally and internationally.

The current appropriation is the third in the scheme, showing the importance of the core facility for both KI and the county council. The motivation for the appropriation decision states that the amount of requests now exceeds capacity, which means a need for continued support to expand.
