Hybrid Venue: IMM-salen, Nobels väg 13, Karolinska Institutet, Solna

The KI-QUAL network is pleased to invite you to our third and last workshop in autumn 2025. This workshop focuses on rapid assessment procedures (RAP), a method characterized by rapid and iterative data collection and analysis techniques that often render actionable insights within weeks or months.

Rapid Assessment Procedures (RAP) are particularly helpful during public health emergencies or to inform rapid quality improvement cycles in healthcare settings. Although mixed methods data can be collected for this purpose, this seminar will focus on rapid assessment techniques using qualitative data.

The workshop will be led by Dr Erika Saliba Gustafsson, a qualitative researcher and implementation support practitioner with a PhD in public health science. Erika first had the opportunity to apply RAP at Stanford University where she worked during the COVID-19 pandemic. She currently supports various implementation initiatives and qualitative research at the Centre for Psychiatry Research and is affiliated to the Department of Clinical Neuroscience. During her presentation, Erika will first present RAP in the context of other qualitative methods, from an implementation science perspective. Drawing from her own experience, she will then dive into key considerations when designing a rapid qualitative study and break down the key steps in rapid data analysis. At the end of the session, attendees will get the opportunity to ask questions on the topic.

The workshop is open to researchers (doctoral students included) at KI and free of charge, yet limited to 35 seats.
