Get started with barbell lifting – learn the fundamentals of strength training.

Get Started Lifting is more than just a workshop. It’s a practical and confidence‑building introduction to your strength‑training journey, where you develop both technical skills and the self-assurance to train independently at the gym.

Class Structure

You will learn the fundamental barbell lifts: deadlift, squat, barbell row, and press. Each exercise is taught step by step with a focus on safe technique, efficient movement, and how to structure your training over time.

During the session, three key principles are introduced:

Functionality – movements that are useful in everyday life and build practical, transferable strength.

Progressive overload – how to systematically increase the load to keep developing.

Reps in Reserve (RIR) – a tool for managing training intensity so you work hard enough for results without unnecessary strain.

Registration

The workshop is for employees and will be held in English or Swedish depending on participants’ preferences. Maximum 10 spots per session.
