Join a half-day workshop led by Senior Lecturer Caroline Wachtler. Designed for participants with limited experience, the session offers a practical introduction to theme development in thematic analysis.

The half-day workshop targets a broad audience, with some or little experience of thematic analysis. The workshop will be led by Caroline Wachtler, Senior lecturer at the Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society

Programme

  • Introduction (45 mins)
    • Thematic analysis – a short recap of the approach
    • What are themes in thematic analysis?
    • Similarities and differences between themes in thematic analysis and qualitative content analysis as well as other approaches
  • Pause (15 mins)
  • Theme generation workshop (2 hours)
  • Summary (30 mins)
