About the speaker
Ingrid Kockum is a Professor at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, she leads the group "Multiple Sclerosis genetic epidemiology", which is the main focus of her research. Her research interest covers also genetic and environmental determinants of multiple sclerosis, including discovery of susceptibility variants, biomarkers, and viral triggers, with a focus on precision medicine approaches for risk modeling and prognosis.
Seminar description
Ingrid is the PI for the EU-funded project WISDOM, which aims to improve well-being in chronic immune-mediated diseases by integrating healthcare and research data across borders. The project develops secure data-sharing frameworks and responsible AI models for risk stratification and outcome prediction, translating complex biological information into actionable insights for precision medicine. The WISDOM consortium is made of 13 partners from nine different countries across Europe.
