Abstract
Many of us hold strong personal views about how we should relate to animals, and what considerations we owe them. These views are informed in great part by our culture as well as personal experience.
How research with animal subjects is considered and regulated around the globe reflects cultural differences and commonalities. Might we arrive at a global consensus to harmonize work with research animals?
