About the speaker

Jakob Norgren is a postdoctoral researcher in Sara Garcia-Ptacek’s group at Karolinska Institutet/NVS, Division of Clinical Geriatrics.

He received his PhD in 2023 with a thesis titled The Impact of Macronutritional Composition and Ketosis on Cognitive Health: From Normal Aging to Alzheimer’s Disease.

Seminar description

Jakob will present his recent publication in JAMA Network Open, Meat Consumption and Cognitive Health by APOE Genotype, and discuss the evolutionary perspective underlying the hypothesis that APOE4 carriers may have specific dietary needs.
