Speaker: Professor Peter Olinga

Prof. Dr. Peter Olinga, is a leading researcher in the field of translational research, specializing in the use of precision-cut tissue slices (PCTS) to study liver diseases and organ fibrosis. He earned his MSc in Pharmacy and PhD from the University of Groningen (RUG), the Netherlands, where he currently serves as a Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology and Biopharmacy.

Prof. Olinga has held various prestigious positions, including a research fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York and a visiting professorship in Germany. His research primarily focuses on developing in vitro/ex vivo (human) models for disease, using PCTS to preserve organ microarchitecture for drug metabolism, toxicity, and pathophysiological studies.
