Lectures and seminars Next steps in advancing transcultural suicidology: 4th Hybrid Workshop of the International Network for Transcultural Suicidology

The Network for Transcultural Suicidology was established in 2023 and is open to researchers, clinicians, non-governmental organisations, and others working with transcultural issues and suicide prevention. The network is interdisciplinary and welcomes professionals from a wide range of fields.

This year's workshop features presentations on the anthropology of suicide based on Cambodian case studies, as well as on participatory, arts-based, and visual methods in suicide research and prevention. The program will also cover experiences of psychiatric emergency assessments of suicidal crises among migrants in Italy, a new report on the health of young Sámi people in Sweden, and a study of a video-counselling program aimed at preventing depression and suicide among people living with HIV in Tanzania.
