Title: Machine Learning Models Across Biological Scales.

Speaker

Aristotelis Tsirigos is Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Pathology at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He serves as Co-Director of the Division of Precision Medicine and Director of the Applied Bioinformatics Laboratories. His work focuses on computational biology, cancer genomics, molecular pathology, and AI/ML applications in biomedical data..

About the seminar

In this talk, Prof Tsirigos will discuss recent advances in the application of artificial intelligence to histopathology, with a likely focus on how computational and machine-learning approaches can extract biologically and clinically meaningful information from pathology images. Dr. Tsirigos’ group has contributed to work using deep learning to analyze histopathology images and connect tissue morphology with molecular and clinical features.
