Lectures and seminars Language café at The Cell - Practise Swedish

Practise Swedish at The Cell - a part of the National Museum of Science and Technology. During the Language Café, topics related to life sciences, health and art are explored, based on research, exhibitions and objects at The Cell. At this event, KI researcher Rita Fernholm will share her insights into how the healthcare system works – so that more patients can feel secure, well-informed and involved.
Rita Fernholm, Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society, conducts research into patient safety, among other things. She is also the author of the book "The Art of Seeing a Doctor – and Leaving with Your Questions Answered". Rita Fernholm is passionate about spreading knowledge on how to navigate the healthcare system and wants to increase understanding of how it works. Among other things, she provides guidance on how to make contact with doctors at the health centre, how different levels of care interact, what a referral entails, and how different doctors are trained.
