Other Info Mingle – Project grant call: KI–SciLifeLab Clinical Translational Postdoc Program
In October, the SciLifeLab Committee at KI will open a grant call for Clinical Translational Postdoc Projects. We encourage anyone interested in applying to join us for an info mingle on October 16, 10:00-12:00, in Biomedicum.
Registration is mandatory and closes on October 14. Please indicate whether you want to participate with a brief project pitch (max 1 powerpoint slide, 2-3 minutes).
About the information mingle
We are pleased to invite all researchers to this event where you can learn more about the grant and application process, hear experiences from previous awardees, and pitch your project to possible co-applicants. After the information session with Q&A there will be time to mingle and probe interest of possible co-applicants.
Please note that the event is also relevant for those who already found a co-applicant, as grants can be awarded for up to two separate applications (as long as they represent distinct constellations).
Purpose of the call
The purpose of the call is to support clinical translational research by enabling the recruitment of postdocs who will conduct research in collaboration between a clinical research group and a SciLifeLab research group.
The grant amounts to 2 million SEK for two years, and up to five grants will be awarded. The postdocs recruited with the grant funds will become part of our Clinical Translational Postdoc Network.
Requirements
- Applications require a team of 2 co-applying researchers who wish to recruit a shared postdoc (24 months, 1.0 FTE) and establish a collaborative research environment between KI's technology-driven molecular bioscience research and expertise at SciLifeLab, and KI's patient-centered research in Region Stockholm.
- One of the co-applicants needs to be a KI-affiliated SciLifeLab Group Leader, while the other needs to be affiliated with KI and involved in clinical, patient-centered research at Region Stockholm.
- Novel collaborations will be prioritized!
