Title: “Alternatively spliced tumor epitopes, lost and found”.
On June 24 at 10:30 in room Ragnar Granit, Biomedicum.

Welcome to guest seminar by Dr. Andrei Thomas-Tikhonenko

Professor of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Principal Inves;gator at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), USA.

Dr. Thomas-Tikhonenko is a leading cancer biologist with over 25 years of continuous NIH funding. His research focuses on MYC-driven mechanisms in solid and hematopoietic malignancies, particularly lymphomas and leukemias, with a strong emphasis on microRNAs and mRNA splicing. His work has been published in premier journals such as Nature Genetics, Cancer Discovery, and JCI. At CHOP, he plays a key role in the Center for Childhood Cancer Research and has led several major translational initiatives, including his involvement in the SU2C-St. Baldrick’s Pediatric Cancer Dream Team (recipient of the 2021 AACR Team Science Award) and the Beau Biden Cancer Moonshot Initiative.
