Lectures and seminars Envisioning complete genomes as a foundation for precision medicine
We are honored to welcome Dr. Adam M. Phillippy, Director of the Center for Genomics and Data Science Research and Head of the Genome Informatics Section at the National Human Genome Research Institute at NIH.
Dr. Phillippy is a leading figure in genome informatics, widely recognized for his pioneering work on the first complete human genome sequence, as part of the Telomere-to-Telomere (T2T) consortium. His research bridges computer science and genomics, with a focus on genome assembly, sequencing technologies, and computational methods for large-scale genomics, including efforts to build a comprehensive human pangenome and to advance precision medicine in a more inclusive and globally representative manner.
He will present a talk titled: "Envisioning complete genomes as a foundation for precision medicine."
Following the seminar, you are warmly welcome to stay for a mingling fika.
If you are unable to attend in person, you are welcome to join via Zoom: https://ki-se.zoom.us/j/67041184957
