The Centre for Bioinformatics and Biostatistics (CBB) presents a biostatistics seminar with Dr Matthias Büttner.

Titel: Measuring Quality of life in Studies – A short guidance

Talare: Dr. Matthias Büttner

Description of the seminar

Quality of life is a relevant endpoint in clinical trials, and regulatory bodies are including quality of life into their reimbursement decisions. When it comes to conducting a study or a trial with quality of life as an endpoint one important question always arises: Which questionnaire shall be used to measure quality of life? Unfortunately, answering this question is not an easy task.

With this short guidance (talk) we will address the most relevant aspects related to that question such as questionnaire types, quality criteria of questionnaires, validation of questionnaires and meaningful quality of life endpoints and their interpretation. Closing with a short overview of the most common mistakes, this crash course will hopefully enable you to find the best quality of life tool for your research or study.
