Talk description

The COMBAT project, funded by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme, brings together international partners to advance research on dengue and pandemic preparedness. Managing research data across a multidisciplinary consortium presents challenges that go beyond data storage and documentation. This seminar will explore how data management planning translates into practice in a large collaborative research project, covering data organisation, storage and computing infrastructure, FAIR principles, reproducible bioinformatics workflows, and responsible data sharing. Drawing on experiences from COMBAT, the talk will highlight practical challenges encountered, solutions implemented, and lessons learned that may benefit researchers involved in collaborative biomedical and multi-omics research.
