Back to the office

Both students and employees are starting to be back at Campus again, and we have asked Helle Mölsted Alvesson how it feels to be back at the office at the Department of Global Public Health.

How does it feel to be back to the office again?

– "Be where the action is” – is a main principle for an anthropologist – so coming back to office is refreshing! I appreciate the “hello"s and “hi”s  on the way to Widerströmska, the chats in the corridor with visiting and regular colleagues, and the short spontaneous visits in each other’s offices. I am just now coming from Kin and Sakis’ office and they are discussing ideas on how to remodel their office – it is never dull talking to them!

I still spend a good amount of time on Zoom with colleagues around the world in our research collaborations and will continue to do so. This makes the KI office environment even more important to me, says Helle Mölsted Alvesson.

What are you looking forward to the most?

– I look forward to the day when people again say that the KI campus is so alive! We are on our way but not yet there.

I look forward to the day when bikers can enjoy a “green wave” during the traffic lights on Solnavägen and when it is not a “near accident”  to cross Tomtebodavägen and Solnavägen on my way to and from work.

Finally, I look forward to the smell of Christmas in Denmark this year!
