Starting June 25th, Karolinska Institutet is recruiting 20 Assistant Professors across different fields of Medicine and Public Health, with a focus on excellence and mobility. One of these positions will be placed at the National Centre for Suicide Research and Prevention (NASP).

As part of KI’s strategic initiative, we are looking for an Assistant Professor in Suicidology to join us at NASP within the Department of Learning, Informatics, Management and Ethics (LIME)

We seek a researcher with strong scientific drive and ambition to thrive in an international, collaborative environment. As an Assistant Professor at NASP, you will conduct cutting-edge research on suicidal behaviour from biological, psychological, social, and clinical perspectives.

You will collaborate with national and international research groups and policymakers and contribute to the development of evidence-based strategies for reducing suicide and its impact on individuals and society.

Our research encompasses epidemiology, risk and protective factors, theoretical frameworks, and the development and evaluation of preventive interventions. The position includes a start-up package of SEK 9 million over six years to support salary, research costs, and infrastructure.
