Agneta Nordberg awarded for significant achievements in Alzheimer research

The Swedish Society of Medicine honors Agneta Nordberg, professor in clinical neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet, with the Bengt Winblad Prize 2021.

Professor Agneta Nordberg has a long and distinguished career in Alzheimer research. Her work combines clinical and experimental research in ways that have led to important progress in our understanding of the disease.

The prize ceremony will take place at The Swedish Society of Medicine on November 9, 2021. The recipient is awarded 150 000 SEK.

About the Bengt Winblad Prize

The Bengt Winblad Foundation was established in 2017 by Professor Bengt Winblad, to promote research in neuroscience within geriatrics, specifically aimed towards dementia. The prize sum of 150 000 SEK is given annually to a person who has made significant contributions to Alzheimer research.
