A CIM Covid-19-task force has been established
As part of the KI-K* Covid-19 resource group, and its actions towards need for organization of clinical sampling for diagnostics and research, a CIM Covid-19-task force has been established and is currently in full operation to support this action.
This represent a joint effort between the K* Infectious disease clinic, the K* Intensive care clinic, and the KI CIM, Dept of Medicine, Huddinge. Beyond immediate analyses, a Covid-19 associated biobank will be established to enable research efforts to advance our understanding of these infections, from clinical aspects to pathophysiology to host immunity.
Such insight will promote development of novel diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines. It will assist in creating predictive values towards outcome, options for treatments, and long-term immunity.
