102 grants in medicine and health from the Swedish Research Council

The Swedish Research Council (Vetenskapsrådet) is Sweden's largest state funder of research and its main task is to develop Swedish research of high scientific quality. The Swedish Research Council has awarded grants to 101 KI researchers in five different categories in medicine and health for the period 2025-2031.

In total, the Swedish Research Council has awarded 185 project grants in medicine and health. This corresponds to an approval rate of 17 percent.

The purpose of the project grant is to give researchers the freedom to formulate their own research concept, method and implementation, and to solve a specific research task within a limited period.

The purpose of the grant is to give the most prominent junior researchers the opportunity to consolidate their research and broaden their activities as independent researchers.

The purpose of the grant is to give clinically active persons the opportunity to carry out research on a part-time basis in parallel with developing their clinical competence.
