What did you do before joining KI?

I previously worked as a finance officer at Örebro University and Stockholm University with external grant-funded projects, appropriations-funded projects, EU projects, and commissioned research. I have worked with many different funders and with both large and small projects. I have worked with ongoing financial follow-ups, budgets, forecasts, salary cost calculations, and more.

Why did you choose to study economics?

I studied economics because I am interested in working with budgeting, forecasting, and financial follow-ups. I think it’s fun and interesting to build a budget and to assess finances over a longer period, where I keep track of revenues and costs and create forecasts that can span short or long timeframes. What drives me in my work is staying on top of the financial situation and budget, and being able to find financial solutions to the challenges I encounter.

What are you most looking forward to in your new job at Labmed?

I am looking forward to starting at KI and continuing to develop in my role as an economist. It will be exciting to work with new people, researchers, projects, and funders. I find it very interesting to work here at Labmed, where medical research is in focus, and to learn a bit about the different research areas. I also look forward to working with new colleagues and being a strong financial support to the departments, researchers, and their projects.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family, watching series, drawing, and crocheting. I also go to the gym and enjoy taking long walks.
