Welcome Karin Vikström - new Communications officer at MedH
On 28 August, Karin Vikström started as communications officer at the Department of Medicine, Huddinge.
What will be your main tasks here at MedH?
I will be responsible for the department's communication. This means, among other things, that I am the editor of the websites and the newsletter for the department's employees. Anyone with a news tip is welcome to get in touch!
Where have you worked previously?
I have worked as a communicator at Hörselskadades distrikt i Stockholms län, an organisation within Hörselskadades Riksförbund (HRF). There I had the overall responsibility for the district's communication and worked with the website, newsletter, member communication and interest policy parts, such as debate articles and letters to various decision makers. I was also involved in organising lectures and planning our participation in various events.
What do you look forward to in your new role?
I am looking forward to taking on new challenges as a communicator and creating communication on exciting topics that are new to me.
How do you like to spend your free time?
In my free time I like to meet my friends and I also spend some time training. During the winter, I like cross-country skiing and right now I'm aiming for the Vasaloppet in March 2024.
