Did you know that 10-15 percent of the population suffer from jaw muscle pain? The majority of thos are women. The knowledge about the disorder is limited and it is not clear why and how the pain emerge.

Researchers at Karolinska Institutet investigate how jaw muscle pain emerge by comparing biomarkers in the jaw muscle between women with chronic jaw muscle pain and painfree women.
Now we recruit healthy and painfree research persons to the study. 

This is how it works

Participation include one visit where you complete a questionnaire and get a clinical examination. Thereafter 3-4 microbiopsies are taken from one of the jaw muscles. 

Compensation is paid. The study has all the permits required.
