Vice president of higher education Ewa Ehrenborg visits GPH
GPH welcomed the Vice President of Higher Education earlier this week. Ewa Ehrenborg, a professor of molecular cardiovascular medicine at the Department of Medicine, Solna, has been the chairperson of the Committee for Higher Education since January 1, 2023.
The education leadership at GPH, including the program directors, the departmental director of education, the head of the department, and the head of administration, presented the current situation in education.
"We provided examples of collaborations at local to global levels, demonstrated how our educational activities are closely linked to research, and explained how the new two-year Master’s in Global Health will contribute to this." says Helle Mölsted Alvesson, Departmental director of education at GPH.
The discussion also covered the impact of high and increasing costs of using education rooms and the challenges of promoting global and preventive health in the six-year medical program. Finally, the importance of attracting students in Sweden to the new two-year Erasmus Mundus program in public health in disasters, was discussed.
