Two summer research schools and the Amgen Scholars Program are now underway
The Amgen Scholars Program at Karolinska Institutet
The Amgen Scholars Program at Karolinska Institutet (KI) started on Monday 18th June. The program is an opportunity for international and national undergraduate students to conduct research during 8 weeks in the summer at KI. The program begins with a few days of introduction to research at KI together with lectures on scientific writing and poster presentation. The program concludes with oral and poster presentations of the conducted research.

Summer Research School in Biomedical Research 2018
The Karolinska Institutet Summer Research School in Biomedical Research for 2018 is now underway. The summer school, coordinated by Gerald McInerney at MTC, encourages interest in Biomedical research at KI by offering high school students hands on research projects, retreats, lectures, workshops and social events. The summer school has been running since 1985 and this years course started on Monday June 18th.

Introduction Day For Students on The KI Summer School in Medical Research
June 4th was the first day of The KI Summer School in Medical Research, coordinated by Antonio Rothfuchs at MTC.
The summer school runs from June to August for a total of 7 weeks. It starts off with an introductory week in June, with lectures covering a range of basic topics, such as hypothesis testing, statistics, presentation techniques, doctoral education at Karolinska Institutet, and how to write a scientific paper. Thereafter, students take part in a 6-week research project at a department at Karolinska Institutet.
