Two KI researchers have been awarded grants within work environment and health

Two researchers at Karolinska Institutet, Tomas Olsson at the department of clinical neuroscience and Mattias Öberg at the department of environmental medicine, have been awarded grants from AFA Insurance

Totally AFA Insurance is distributing 14.8 MSEK to five new Research and Development projects within work environment and health.

Professor Tomas Olsson has been awarded 4 MSEK to continue the study on risk genes and what external factors that are affecting the risk to be afflicted by Multipel sclerosis (MS). Mattias Öberg has been granted 3.242.000 SEK for the improvement of the statistics- and knowledge base for the preventive work environment efforts through analyzing and systematizing data from Giftcentralens samtalsdatabas (The Poison call center database) with information on chemical workplace accidents.
