Time to apply for doctoral courses for spring 2026

The course catalogue for the spring semester of 2026 is now open for applications! Please note that the application period is three weeks, with the final application day being 5 November.

Before applying, we recommend careful reading of the information on Applying for doctoral courses, even though you have applied via Fubas before. A few things, such as a written motivation, can be prepared in advance to make your application process smother.

To apply, go to the web page Course catalogue and vacancies and click on the link to the course catalogue. Follow the recommendations below.

Please note that filter choices and language selection for the web page only are available on a larger screen (not on a mobile phone).

Recommendations

  • Use the filter to see courses that are open for application, since previous semesters’ courses also are listed. A blue button indicates that the course is open for application.
  • We recommend that you use the English version of the course catalogue to access information about each course (change the language version for courses that are only offered in Swedish). The language selector is found in the upper right corner of the web page.
  • Open the specific course information by clicking on the plus sign beside the apply button. This is where you will find any specific information about the course occasion that you don’t want to miss!

Things to consider

  • Apply with your KI-ID – if you are a KI doctoral student or KI postdoc. This helps the course provider prioritise correctly and ensures the email address in the application is accurate.
  • Save the confirmation email to keep track of the courses you applied for.
  • Reply to the admission notification within 7 days! Failure to respond will result in the place being passed on to the next reserve.
  • If you have applied for several course occasions for the same course (and semester), please only accept one
