Time to apply for doctoral courses

The course catalogue for the spring semester of 2025 is now open for application! Please note that the application period is three weeks, with the final application day being 5 November.

Before applying, we recommend carefully reading the information on Applying for doctoral courses. To make your application process smother, we recommend preparing a few things in advance.

Then, go to the web page Course catalogue and vacancies and click on the link to the course catalogue.

When searching the course catalogue

Use the filter to see courses that are open for application, since the current semester’s courses also are listed.

We also recommend using the English version of the course catalogue to access the information on every course (most courses are in English and thus only presented in English). Change the language for courses that are given in Swedish. The language selector is found in the upper right corner but is unfortunately only available on a larger screen (please be aware of this if you are using a mobile phone).

Things to consider

  • If you have a KI-ID - apply with this! This will help the course provider to prioritise correctly in the selection process. You also ensure that the correct e-mail address is given in the application.
  • Save the confirmation email to keep track of the courses you applied for.
  • Reply to the admission notification within 7 days! If you don't reply in time, your place will be passed on to the next reserve, if there are many applicants for the course. You will receive a reminder email the day before the deadline.

Important dates

15 October: Start of application period.

5 November: Last application day.

6 November: Course providers will begin processing admissions. Admission for most courses will likely be completed within a month. However, some courses may have a waiting list, in which case reserves will be admitted until the course is full.
