The majority of patients treated for oeopshageal cancer reports anxiety and depression from time of diagnosis throughout the illness trajectory, up to several years post-surgery.

How can this new knowledge contribute to the improvement of people's health?

The psychological rehabilitation following cancer treatment should be prioritised in the standard care pathway of cancer survivors.

What are your future ambitions?

To improve the psychological well-being for cancer survivors.
